Methanol's high octane value and oxygen content (50%) make it a popular fuel. It produces good power and burns cool which helps control engine temperatures.

**PLEASE NOTE**

Methanol fuel is very corrosive with soft metals and some rubbers and it burns with a colourless flame making a methanol fuelled fire difficult to see.
