Sodium thiosulfate is mainly used for photographic industry as fixative. Dichromate tanning when a reducing agent, nitrogen exhaust neutralizer, mordant, straw and hair bleach, and dechlorination of pulp bleaching agent. Also used for tetraethyl lead, dyes intermediates manufacturing and silver ore raised.
 
Also used as a chemical / electroplating industry, reducing agent, water purifying agent works. In the textile industry for bleaching cotton after dechlorination agent, sulfur dyeing wool fabric dye, indigo dye anti-white agents, pulp dechlorination agent, the pharmaceutical industry as detergents, disinfectants and bleaching agents.
